Locally led conservation supporting Indigenous communities and coastal ecosystems in Palawan.

C3 Philippines is a locally registered non-profit organisation working with coastal and Indigenous communities to conserve marine biodiversity while strengthening local livelihoods, governance and climate resilience.

Our work is centred in Palawan, with a long-standing presence in the Calamianes Islands. We work alongside Tagbanua communities, local government, national agencies and civil society organisations to develop practical approaches to marine management that combine Indigenous knowledge, community leadership and science.

Our work spans Indigenous Marine Managed Areas, coral reefs and seagrass, threatened marine species, sustainable fisheries, community livelihoods and capacity building for local organisations.

We believe effective conservation begins with the rights, knowledge and leadership of the people who depend most directly on coastal and marine resources.

C3 Philippines works through long-term partnerships with Indigenous communities, local governments and other local organisations. We combine Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Practices with marine science, participatory planning and practical management tools, helping communities strengthen governance and stewardship of their ancestral waters.

Our approach connects biodiversity conservation with livelihoods, cultural heritage and climate resilience, while building local institutions and partnerships that can sustain conservation beyond individual projects.
